Wow. There's a lot going on in this book. Brand is a troubled musician (understatement of the century). What appealed to me about this book is that it took me a while to figure out what in the world was going on. I consider myself rather clever, so I was surprised it took me so long to figure out where the story was headed. I like many things about this story, but in the end I think Brandon should have been a little more ticked off about the secret that was kept from him. Layna was just what Brand needed in life, but I feel like she got off a little too easy for her part in the deception. Overall I liked this book, but felt almost affronted on Brands behalf!
I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
