The Fractured Heart - Scarlett Cole

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/27242735-the-fractured-heart
The Fractured Heart is the second book of the Second Circle Tattoos series.  I will start by saying that I loved, loved, loved the first book. This one, well I liked it an awful lot.

This story is of Cujo and Drea. As the best friends to Trent and Harper they are working together to throw their pals and engagement party. Now Cujo and Drea haven't necessarily gotten along in the past and there's all sorts of back and forth with the party planning. I do love Cujo's character though and although at times I found Drea a little annoying, her character quirks were also endearing at times.

A bonus in this story is the suspense thrown in with Drea witnessing an abduction, which added another layer to the story that I found rather intriguing.

Overall I found this book enjoyable! Check it out today!

Happy New Year!

As you can see, I took the entire month of December off. This was not by design, but rather it just sort of worked out that way! So far this year has not turned out as I hoped, I did not win the power ball, and I have not had copious amounts of time to blog! Here's hoping things will turn around soon :)

I might not have been blogging, but I was certainly reading. I have lots of reviews in store for the next few weeks. I managed a mere 66 posts last year so I have decided to challenge myself and see if I can at least do 75 this year!

As always, I am thankful for each and everyone of you that take the time to read my blog (all four of you!). I am also grateful for the wonderful authors that keep churning out books so that I'll have something to blog about! (I know this is the only reason they are still writing, right?)

In any case, happy 2016 to you all and happy reading!

The Irish Warrior - Ashley York

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/26543479-the-irish-warrior---a-norman-conquest-novellaMs. York has done it again. This Novella is a wonderful addition to the Norman Conquest series her fans have come to adore. I enjoyed reading about Sean and Tommy (Thomasina) so much. This is an action packed, historical romance with just the right amount of hero, action and romance.

Tommy finds herself in quite the predicament. Her drunkard father has betrothed her to the worst kind of man, and her brother is doing what he can to save her. She disguises herself as a lad but when she stumbles upon our hero Sean, he sees her for the lass that she is. Sean is recovering from a case of unrequited love and meets Tommy just in time to save his heart. This is a fast paced story, but not rushed in any way. It delivers delightful side stories without bogging down the main theme. I could go on and on, but just check it out and see for yourself.

This is a definite must read. Completely entertaining and enjoyable!
