All Broke Down - Cora Carmack

I enjoyed the first Book in this series, All Lined Up. I loved loved loved All Broke Down.
I'm trying to gather my thoughts to make this an intelligent and helpful review. I can't decide what I loved the most. Silas was kind of a jerk in the other book, but you wondered what his deal was. Now we know.

Self esteem is a tricky beast. You can like yourself just fine, but not really believe that you deserve good things. Silas is a wonderful representation of this very human condition. Dylan is the good girl who is not sure who she really is or wants to be. I absolutely love that these two meet in jail. Not to give away to much of the story, but it just gets better from there.

Ms. Carmack touches on some pretty intense situations that plague the human population but especially our young. She also did a wonderful job at differentiating between fighting to release anger and inner demons, and standing up for injustice. Silas did both of these things and I feel Ms. Carmack did a great job illustrating the difference.

Silas and Dylan make an awesome duo, excited to see what is in store for the rest of this series.

Italian Kisses - Yes Please!

So I am absolutely a fan of the Billionaire love story, but I have taken a sabbatical from reading this type story because well, they all seem to be the same old same old lately. However, I discovered this book by Lucy Lambert Italian Kisses -  A Billionaire Love Story, and thought, Eh why not?

Terrific decision. Here's a story of Emma -  who is stuck in a rut. She travels to Rome but after being there a while it's not working out as planned, toss in a creepy professor and now I'm hooked on the story.

Enter the scene, Liam. Hello Mr. Billionaire. I enjoyed his character very much, just the right amount of Hero, he didn't take over her life and make it all perfect, but he was a perfect partner in helping her work things out! It was truly refreshing to see two characters act in an adult manner without all the angst and he said, she said misunderstandings.

So anyway, not going to recap the entire story, because I promised to never do that. Just take my word for it, read this book. It's a good fun read!

Full Measure

I'm not even sure where to start. This books should definitely have a tissue disclaimer. This incredible book had me in tears more than 40% of it. Mrs. Yarros perfectly captures the essence of a military family. The trials and triumphs. December and Josh's characters are complex and well written. Not one part of this novel seemed forced or cheesy. My heart ached for them, and rejoiced for them.

 If you ever wondered what it was like, this book beautifully displays the reality of being a military family.

A wonderful story of life's trials, following your dreams, being there for those you care about, and finding that person who makes it all worth while.

I highly recommend this book. I am certain you will fall in love with Josh and December, just as I have.
