Falling... Falling... Falling

I always worry about the last book in a series. Sometimes you get to the end, and it just feels like the author gave up and is just writing because they are contractually obligated to do so. So when I started this book I had my reservations, but I love Jasinda Wilders writing, so there was no way I was not going to read it.

I am so GLAD I did. Who didn't feel horrible for Ben in Falling Under? Reading his story was a pleasure. Laughing and crying, I enjoyed every second. Ben and Echo both have so much to come to terms with and overcome. This is a beautiful representation of true life struggles and finding love in ourselves and with someone else.  This final installment beautifully wrapped up the wonderful journey we've been on with all of the characters in the Falling series.


I'm excited to see what she has in store for us in the next series, starting with Braydens story!

Escape to New Zealand - Yes Please!

So I seem to be stuck on the series currently. Which is funny because I have been trying to avoid them. I hate to read a book and then have to wait months for the next installment. My brain is old and I read a lot so usually by the time the next book comes out I have to read the first one again. With that said I would like to recommend the Rosalind James Escape to New Zealand series.

Until a couple months ago I didn't know anything about Rugby and now because of these fictional characters I now follow several real live Rugby players on Facebook and Twitter. In fact, I just recently watched my first game and found it very enjoyable. Anyway, I digress. The series is based on several fictional New Zealand rugby players. I have read all the released books and can't find anything bad to say about any of them.

Including the prequel there are 8 books in this series. I loved them all. The writing is well done with well developed characters that keep you entertained and interested the whole time.  Hemi and Reka are my favorite and I was so glad that Ms. James wrote 0.5 for their story. Each book is about a player and their journey through life and love. I was also taken in by the wonderful descriptions of New Zealand. After doing some fact checking I find the author did not stray from reality there.

So if you are in for the long haul, I really recommenced this wonderful series.

Marked Men - Jay Crownover

Since my last post was about an entire series I thought I would follow that up with another series I absolutely love. Jay Crownovers Marked Men. This month book #5 in the series released, Rowdy.

My favorite by far in this series is the newly released Rowdy. However, they are all enjoyable reads that make me want to hop and plane and hang out in Colorado for a week or two. To me, nothing is more appealing than a tattooed bad boy with a soft heart, and although sometimes damaged and rough around the edges, the Marked Men certainly deliver in the ideal Book Boyfriend category.

Another great thing about this series is that it is not yet complete! Can't wait to see what Ms. Crownover has in store for Asa next year.
